A Dissertation of The Purpose of Man and
His Responsibility to Liberty and Justice

Preface (Sapere aude incipe)
Complete as of 4 July 2008

When men of good conscience honestly reflect upon the events that sculpt one's life, such thoughtful reflection inevitably leads to the questions asked throughout all of human history regarding their purpose in life and the nature of justice. The aberration of man tends one toward some radical notion, but upon genuine reflection, such aberration must be laid aside in favor of clear logic regarding the plight of man in his effort to survive and his pursuit of liberty and justice.

This logic demands honesty in rendering and interpreting events, and yet further requires the sublime notion that truth and justice must be that which is true and just for all of man. The elitist is merely perverted regarding his own self-worth whereas one's genuine worth is but a single measure of a far greater whole.

Such is the endeavor of this examination, namely an honest investigation into the purpose of man and his responsibility to liberty and justice. Biases and esoteric pathologies aside, man's purpose and nature can be discovered by the intellectually honest, and a polity dear to liberty can be devised and implemented so as to secure what is true and just for the greater whole of mankind.

Fitting that the Burney crest proclaims Sapere aude incipe which means "Dare to know, start!" Therefore, let us now start, daring cerebral integrity in discovery of the purpose of man and his responsibility to liberty and justice.
