The
Cat
Dandruff
This was the first cat to live with the Burney's. She was named
Dandruff by Amy due to the fact that the cat had a bad case of
dandruff all the time.

This cat
was something else. It was a stray that began to "hang out" with the
Burney's during the late 1970s.
This
cat would let Amy do just about anything she wanted. It was a very
good natured cat and in spite of being primarily and outside animal,
it was quite at home in our house.
This cat could regularly be found hiding under the tree at Christmas
among the presents. You would never know it until a paw would reach
out at you from under the tree.
To show
us how "good" it was to us, it would
bring the field mice it
killed to our doorstep.
This
was a good cat and although I am not a cat person, I very much
remember Dandruff.

Robierre
Robierre lived with Betty and Barry for the first half of his life,
then with Granny and Pawpaw until his death. He was known for his long
jumps when running toward the sofa or chair.
Robierre was one of the
best natured dogs our family ever had. He was not a yappy, barking
dog. He was so friendly. As a guard dog, we always assumed that should
a burglar break into the house, Robierre would lick him to death. |

Babbette
Babbette lived with Barry and Betty as my sister and I progressed
through their early teens. Babbette was not the most friendly animal
to walk the face of the earth, but was loved and had puppies
a couple of times over the years.
Babbette was a
lover of pillows. Most of the time she would snuggle up in a pile of
pillows and as long as she was left alone, she seemed quite content. |

Alise
Alise lived with Bobby and Alice (Betty's brother's house). She
was a contemporary of Babbette, but more friendly. |
