Property For
Sale: Monteagle Mountain, Tennessee
Property for
investment or for building. Total of 20.22 acres
(equals 8.19
hectares)
This property on Monteagle
Mountain is a beautiful and very private place, 50% wooded and
with three hills perfect for building, one of which has a 30 mile
(50 kilometer) view to the south. Here you will find
links to photos, including a panoramic view from the tallest
hilltop.
At
right is a satellite view of the property, designated within
the light yellow lines. The property to the front of the
ridge-top drive can be easily divided into two 3+ acre lots.
The back side is 13.94 acres which includes an open field of
approximately 7 acres
nestled within the hills.
I have listed the property as
follows:
- A magnificent wooded
hilltop property with a 30 mile view to the south, composed
of three hills perfect
for traditional or log homes ensuring plenty of privacy. The
20.22 acres are listed for $6,800 per acre for a total
listing price of $137,500.
- Seller is willing to subdivide for the right offer.
The total 20.22 acres includes
two front hilltops facing south (6.28 acres) and
a back parcel (13.94 acres) with a hilltop facing north which
is mostly wooded except for the included open field of
approximately 7 acres.

Hunting
There is a large population of deer in the lower middle and
eastern Tennessee area. The property is large enough to provide for a good home and 'back yard' hunting, if
this is of interest. The hills are such that there is a natural barrier
to the stray shot.
Demarcation of the property is clear, with steel survey stakes
at each marker of the property boundaries.

Best Property
For Privacy
Here are over 20
acres of rolling hills on top of Monteagle Mountain.
Many options are available to the purchaser. There are three
hilltops on the property, all of which would be perfect for a cabin,
log home, or traditional home to be built and nestled among tall and
mature trees.
The back side of the property is flanked by a private farm and
includes a wide wooded area within the property to buffer the
fenceline for a varying 100 to 500 foot depth.
The open field could be
kept cleared, allowed to grow over with trees, or used as a field
for animals (horses or cattle) or for a large garden (about 7 acres) and includes a
smaller fourth
hilltop, the base of which could provide the backdrop for a barn.
As for the tallest
hill, it provides a 30 mile (50 kilometer) view of the mountains to the south. A
cozy cabin or spacious log home are both perfect for this property
with a deck or porch facing a 30 mile expanse.
The sun rises to the
left of the hilltop and sets to the right so the porch looks clearly
to the south without 'in your eyes' sunlight, but with plenty of
sunshine if you prefer an uncovered deck for 'soaking up the rays'.
Consider how pleasant
the elevated property, typically 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit below
the valley temperatures, will be as you recline on the deck and
commune with the view... or as you grill steaks and ribs with the
serenity of a light breeze whispering through the trees.
This property is the
perfect setting for a totally private yet easily accessible
lifestyle. Two small towns within 10 minutes drive and a medium city
within 40 minutes drive.
A wonderful restaurant
that is rich in history (bought by Al Capone for his mistress,
halfway between Chicago and Miami) is just down the road and one of
the best wineries in the United States is 15 minutes away.
When you visit this
property, you will fall in love.
